423449 2006-01-23 03:10:00 I have been using Quicken V7.0 (1998) on a PC and trying to instal Money 2005.
Money tries to convert Quicken files, reports that this is not possible, which I expected, but I cannot proceed any further than this. Clicking finish merely returns me to the beginning of the conversion page. Help would be appreciated. :help:

423450 2006-01-23 04:08:00 What versions of quicken does MS Money support for the conversion.
AS mentioned the other week Quicken is superior to MS Money in my opinion.
You could try using a trial version of quicken to bring your original file more up to date. I suspect the older quicken format may have confused the money program (not that it would be hard to do so...)

423451 2006-01-25 03:53:00 Solved the problem eventually by clicking on File and opening a 'second account' even though no accounts had been opened. Money says to open a second account only if you want to track for example a seperate business enterprise. This worked fine and all seems to be operating normally. Thanks for initial reply, its comforting to know that I should have bought Quicken!!! clarkec (9671)
