| 423087 | 2006-01-21 19:57:00 | I am trying to get rid of unwanted screensavers(which I did not download) and to do this I must go to windows explorer then do it from there, but, I seem tohave lost my windows explorer, whenever I try to access it my scren goes to My documents.I go into start, accessories and then win explorer and it ends up as my docs.I havent even got an icon for it on desktop. How can I find the windows explorer again. | steamman (82) | ||

| 423091 | 2006-01-22 19:49:00 | If you are trying to remove unwanted yet installed screensavers, try going to add/remove programs (start>settings>control panel in 98; start>control panel in XP) and remove from there. Piece of advice, if you have unwanted screensaver, you can bet ya bottom dollar ya got unwanted spyware, run an anti spyware app (if you don't have one, Spybot 1.4 and Adaware will do). Likewise .. run antivirus just to be safe. Run these in safe mode btw, also try accessing My computer in safe mode if the screensavers not in add/remove programs |
