| 423960 | 2006-01-24 23:04:00 | Can someone help me. I have used Imation dvd-r and +r and the Rw before no problems. Now my writer is telling me that all the brand new discs have no bytes on them. I have updated my firmware and still this issue is not resolved. Has anyone else had this problem. I have 8x media, but the 4x media don't work either. Are you trying to burn video or data to these DVD blanks? Is Nerovision installed? If you're trying to burn video to these DVD blanks? You're not formatting these DVD blanks are you? Coz you dont format them, before u burn whatever to them. |

| 423965 | 2006-01-30 08:03:00 | I have one of these too and had about the Same problems - Here are some tips. 1) Make sure that the drive is on its own IDE cable Set as master. 2) Make sure that the drive has the correct/updated firmware on it - Firmware can be Downloaded Here (www.de.nec.de) 3) Make sure the Disc you are using is either listed Here (www.de.nec.de) Or is not already Written Over. 4) If using a DVD RW make sure the Disc is Formatted before Attempting to write on it. 5) When creating A DVD you may want to make it "Multisession" which makes you able to add more data onto it.. If none of that works you may have a problem with your drive - Contact where you bought it from and im sure they will be happy to Replace it. |

I'm, confused (shuddup you lot!), do you have a problem with an NEC 2500A or an Imation DVD? I'll run with the Nec for the mo, because that seems to be the likely one . Anywho, the other guys seem to have it pretty well covered except, just maybe: Can you confirm the drive is recognised by Nero properly and is not just creating ISO's to your HDD . Are you using the version of Nero that came with the drive or was it OEM to another? (My 2500A came with NTI Gold) . What revision is the drive and firmware, did you perchance upgrade the firmware before the issues arose . |
