| 424096 | 2006-01-25 04:06:00 | For all those folk out there who have spent hours and weeks looking for the cure to your "operation timed out" problems and thinking that Firfox was to blame etc........I have the CURE  I found a thread coming off a USA forum that suggested that internet connectivity had been corrupted due to invalid or removed registry items resultant from the removal of adware components or the improper unistall of firewall applications that modify the XP Winsock settings. I downloaded the following free utility program - WinSock XP Fix 1.2 - and my problem was fixed immediately ! I was so happy I cracked open a nice bottle of Merlot and didn't share a drop. To get it follow the url: www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html Cheers |

OK, that may not have been very related or have had any point whatsoever but this does: This is the long awaited easy fix for people who kill their internet via an errant Nod32 installation! That's exactly what happens and the major problem with it. Just ask ninja :). |
