424071 2006-01-25 01:57:00 Using Win XP. when an incomming email is viewed in Outlook Express, a dark magenta colour band appears across the menu & the second line icons. The items in these lines are uinreadable until the cursor is moved across them, whereupon they are visable and readable. What can be done? Do I have to reinstall OE6?
Help please!

424073 2006-01-25 04:18:00 Outlook Express is a very popular target for viruses, worms, and such. Anything that alters any aspect of it's normal appearance would be suspicious.

As usual, make sure you're anti-virus software's up-to-date, run some form(s) of spy-ware detection, and make sure you're up-to-date with Windows patches.

If you post a hijackthis log here, I'm sure someone could help.

You're lucky that it's a magenta, and not deep purplish red or fuchsin. Otherwise I'd be very concerned. ;)
