424559 2006-01-27 03:41:00 Ooook. It all started one day when I bought my first mic. I went into Yahoo! Chat to test it out, (it worked perfectly) and I saw a few kids with voice modifiers. I thought it was cool, so naturally I went searching for one. I found one, downloaded it, tested it and after that my mic hasn't worked at all. I've purchased several microphones, none of which work with my computer, but they all work on other friend's computers. My computer can't even detect my microphone sometimes.. Other times it detects it, but when I speak into it, it doesn't record any sound..Even if I yell. PLEASE help =( CAPTAINCAPSLOCK (9696)
424560 2006-01-27 03:55:00 Voice modifiers?

where do you get them from?

424561 2006-01-27 06:00:00 Used to be reasonably common. A sharp knife came into the process somewhere.

That's how they qualified young men as security guards, and for the singing parts which needed high voices.

424564 2006-01-27 06:49:00 Presume you have done the obvious and checked you sound settings etc? Cptn Hotshot (3904)
424565 2006-01-27 18:41:00 I've checked my settings, checked if it's plugged in correctly, checked if the mic wasn't on mute, I've done everything I can think of..As for the voice modifiers, I can't remember where I got them. I only used one of them, and after my mic stopped working I deleted it from my computer; I don't know what it was :( CAPTAINCAPSLOCK (9696)
424566 2006-01-27 21:03:00 Uninstall , reboot then reinstall your sound card drivers [ if not detected on reboot ] - check device manager to be sure there are no problems noted there . I trust you've got and updated / run antivirus/ antispyware / ccleaner etc as recomended elsewhere on this site? KatiMike (242)

I have Anti-Spyware programs and Nortan Antivirus. They work fine. I haven't looked at my sound card stuff yet though..I wasn't sure how to do any of that, so I just didn't mess with it. If possible, could someone help me do that? If so, my MSN is Cea005@hotmail.com; My AOL is Cea005.
