425248 2006-01-29 20:08:00 Seatools is telling me that my low quality SATA cable is causing problems. What is a good quality brand of SATA cables? Greven (91)
425249 2006-01-29 20:22:00 Well, there's not a lot of SATA cables to choose from.

Unless shops sell gold-plated ones.

425250 2006-01-30 03:01:00 Rather than the diagnostic looking for a maker's label on the cable, it's probably seeing that the data transmission is "impaired" in some way. The connectors might be damaged, or not properly inserted. I think what the mesaage means is: "have a look at the cable". ;) Graham L (2)
425251 2006-01-30 03:53:00 I'm fairly sure the cable is firmly pushed into both connectors. I'll check them again. I hope its not my PCI SATA card thats the problem - I got the cheapest one ascent had. Greven (91)

I agree with Graham, I seriously doubt Seatools has the ability to judge the quality of your SATA cable lol, nor have I ever seen or used a "low quality" cable. Fairly humorous error though.

Might pay to try another cable just in case by some act of god Seatools is right (pink flying pigs).
