425059 2006-01-28 23:08:00 I have an older game (master of orion 2) that I play often on my computer, is there anyway to force it to run in a window, as i have dual screen, and when it goes full screen and changs the resolution it pushes everything on the right monitor off.
Also I would like to be able to have it open in the window rather than having to alt-tab when Im doing a multitude of things and using MOO2 to kill time between tasks

Is there anyway to force it to run in a window?

425060 2006-01-28 23:14:00 You could try pressing Alt + Enter in game that may work Overdrive_5000 (4950)
425061 2006-01-28 23:18:00 Yea, already tried that but it doesnt, also when its open it forces the displays to 256 colours making the rest of the contents of the screens look REALLY sick! dirtbag (6060)

I take it, you've installed the drivers?

425063 2006-01-28 23:39:00 Nvidia 6600GT, yea drivers installed and all. the game itself runs in 256colours, but also brings the other screen down to its level. dirtbag (6060)
425064 2006-01-29 05:36:00 I've seen this behaviour before, but never seen a fix. I put it down to a DirectX built-in limit.

It probably won't perform satisfactorily, but I guess a virtual PC might do the trick.
