425526 2006-01-30 18:58:00 I just installed a HPScanjet4070 scanner and its photosmart software on my winXP Pro pc yesterday .

Now it has got into an infinite bootloop problem and I cant seem to find what to remove to stop it even after uninstalling the software . . . :badpc:

Does anyone know what I should be looking for and where to find it so I can go and nuke it?

There was an old datasheet on the HP site talking about a similar problem in Win 98 however I'm using XP so surely they would have fixed the software by now?!

Please help I have a huge amount of work I have to do this week and need to be able to use my pc!

425527 2006-01-30 19:05:00 errr...a few more specifics might help.......you say it's gotten into an infinite boot loop.....how about being a bit more descriptive of what's happening cause one tends to think........ah part boot then retstart then part boot then........however you said it's still happening after uninstallign that printer software......well how did you manage that if you cant get to wndowz ? drcspy (146)
425528 2006-01-30 19:53:00 I finally managed to get windows into safemode and then uninstalled the software .

However if I try to start windows in normal mode it just keeps rebooting after partially loading my profile . I'm begining to think the user profile has been corrupted, so will try creating a new one to see if this is a valid workaround .

I'm currently using another users profile on it and it seems stable enough now .
