425016 2006-01-28 23:25:00 My computer picks up my wireless connection . But it is "security enabled (WPA)" and "requires a network key" .

I don't know what the network key is and can't seem to implement it . . So I can't connect to the internet

any ideas? thanks .

i have win xp .

425017 2006-01-28 23:42:00 The WPA Pre-Shared key would be set up on your wireless access point.
You would have 'implemented' it when you set that up.
What brand / model access point do you have?

425018 2006-01-28 23:53:00 I have cable and wireless 802 . 11g wireless lan adsl2+ modem router . . .

It probably was implemented when set up but I don't know what the network key is now

425019 2006-01-29 00:57:00 It will probably be set to some default value, so it ought to be changed. Other people might be able to use that default and get in, while you can't :D). Go into the router's setup and set it with a new one, then set your other machine(s) the same way. Graham L (2)

Follow Graham L's instructions.

425021 2006-01-29 01:50:00 I can't log into my router + can't set it up again.. circev (9613)
425022 2006-01-29 02:17:00 You are going to have to log in, if you cannot try resetting it, there will be a small button on it somewhere. Rob99 (151)
