426121 2006-02-02 03:13:00 Hi
I have an audiophile 2496 soundcard, I want to take it out of my pc and put it into a powermac G4, but I have found the PCI slots in my mac are longer, does anyone know if it is safe to put the soundcard in these slots, it fits, but there is space left at the end. It does say it's mac compatable on the box.

Yes, would be the answer (the macs can take the really long PCI cards too).

426124 2006-02-02 04:01:00 It's a worry when you have to hacksaw bits off a board to make it fit in the slot. :D Graham L (2)

You should NEVER use a hacksaw, always simply file down the card to fit.
