| 426095 | 2006-02-01 09:14:00 | Anyone know how I can convert mixed case filenames in HTML code? For example automatically converting: <A HREF="Overview_For_Busy_People.htm">Overview For Busy People</A> to all lowercase as in <A HREF="overview_for_busy_people.htm">Overview For Busy People</A>? There must be a FREE utility out there somewhere that will do it automatically! (If not perhaps there's some smart trick I can use involving Search and Replace in MS Word.) Thanks. PS Changing the filenames in the directory isn't a problem but changing the filenames in the HTML code itself is. |

| 426096 | 2006-02-01 09:43:00 | I downloaded Notetab Light after Greg (I think it was Greg) mentioned it the other day and it should be able to change the tags for you . Go to Modify > Change HTML tags > To lower case . |

| 426101 | 2006-02-01 19:17:00 | Thanks, but I was wanting to find a way to make all the changes automatically in one go otherwise it will take me for ever. 1) I will try Notetab & see how I get on. 2) I thought of using MS Word Search & Replace and just changing any text between " " to lowercase. That would presumably leave the tags uppercase and the content in Sentence Case. But how do I tell Word just to change text between quotes to lowercase? 3) I'd much prefer a specialised program! I want the tags UPPERCASE. I want the filenames in the HTML code LOWERCASE. Any other suggestions? |

| 426102 | 2006-02-01 21:55:00 | I assume you're NOT using Microsoft IIS, since it doesn't care about case. Perhaps you're taking it from the wrong side. It may be easier to write a quick command file to change the case of the files. |

I should have thought to try it last night but was a little preoccupied, but anyway, pasting your text into NoteTab Light and doing as I suggested in my previous post will convert all HTML tags to lower case . In that case, thanks for letting us know about it. :) Yes, it is brilliant and although I had tried it before a long time ago, that was before I was into mucking about with webpages so its usefulness was a bit lost on me then.
