427394 2006-02-05 06:17:00 hi all im haveing this queer thing
with a printer i had given to me
much of my computing does not require a printer
i had an old epson 300 and it was adequite for me
however back to my problem
this printer is a cannon bubblejet bjc-255sp
and the problem:it prints the text from last to first
instead of first to last
ive looked for the settings
but being unfamiliar with printing set up i cant find
a setting to fix it
ive posted on other boards
but i think the posters thinks im joking.

427395 2006-02-05 06:26:00 ?
Can you clarify, do you mean "last page" to "first page" (i.e.pages in reverse order)?

Have not got a Canon installed here, but on my other onkets thats under the Advanced option in the printer setup.

But then again you might mean something completely different, it's just that "printing text from last to first" is not quite enough for me to grasp the problem, as my comment refers to "pages", not "text".

427397 2006-02-05 08:57:00 I have an HP printer and have set it to print the last page first.
This is on purpose so that the last page is at the bottom of the output tray. Printing a 10 page document after finishing will result in Page 1 through 10 being in the correct order to read through.
Reverse text may be a different matter.

427398 2006-02-05 09:00:00 Ha! I thought this was a Sam Hunt composition for a while there.....

Like GF I don't understand what you mean but if you need a manual, try this :
www.canon.co.nz

And if you need to reinstall the driver, try this:

427399 2006-02-05 19:41:00 Hi Marty124
My old printer is Canon S200SPx. See if yours works similar.
R/click on your printer icon, select printer properties, select page setup.
At or near the bottom of the windows is a section called "Copies"
Mine has a box with 1 in it [choice between 1 - 999]
There are 2 check boxes - Reverse Order and Colate. Make sure neither of these are checked.Click on Main tab, click OK and exit.
[Reverse Order prints from the last page to the first page. Sounds like your problem. It was probably the preference of the previous owner.]

If it sneaks back on again you might have to add a printer profile to the printer.
1. Make sure printer settings are as you want them,
2. go into Printer properties again, click Profiles tab, then click on Current Settings in the L/side panel. [Current settings is what you are using right now.]
3. L/Click on it to highlight it, click on "Add to Profiles" at the bottom of R/side panel.
Dialog box comes up - Name: type in a name for the profile. eg. MyStandardProfile [1 - 32characters only]
Icon: select an icon for the profile.
Don't bother with description then click OK.
The name and icon are added to the Printing Profiles list on the L/side panel.
If not as above it will be something similar.
Exit out and try a printout to see if it works. Cheers.

I can understand you are upset at the treatment you received in your other thread, but there is no need to respond in kind and abuse other users. It only drops you to their level. Same rule applies to you, if you can't keep it nice then do not post it.

427403 2006-02-06 06:19:00 You can write any way you like Marty, but to be fair to those who responded to you, your lack of punctuation, capitalisation and any form of sentence structure does make your style a little novel.

Add to that your unusual use of carriage returns in mid-sentence/line and it really does end up looking like modern poetry.

I think that was what caused the poet question and I don't think anybody was having a go at you. We'll still be here if you have other problems.

Cheers
