427278 2006-02-05 03:46:00 I have a Canon S600 printer that I have newly installed with my new XP pro.
Its driver disc only did 98 and 2000 so I dl the xp drivers and installed using normal xp routine.
Unfortunately I have installed the German language version :)
doh
So I want to uninstall....no sign of the uninstall exe in the driver download.
In control panel/add/remove there is no sign of the printer...

dl the right driver and tried to toss it in over the top but i says 'files in use' or somesuch ...

how do I remove the sucker ?!

cheers
Pete

427279 2006-02-05 03:50:00 Hi Pete.... Could the Germanic version have been considered an update to the existing programme? If so, check on the Add or Remove Programmes window to see if the "show Updates" button is tagged. Scouse (83)

427281 2006-02-05 04:55:00 Uninstall the printer from Start/Settings/Printers and when it asks if you no longer want the files say yes then install the printer again using the correct language. Just to be on the safe side do a reboot after uninstalling the printer. mikebartnz (21)
