| 427750 | 2006-02-06 11:20:00 | I am on another computer. My desktop seems to have run out of memory I was using AShampoo and the defrag stopped and wouldn't go so I turned the machine off. Now it will load but when I click on desktop items NOTHING happens. Over the day it was ok so I did a system restore to yesterday now it works sometimes. Says I need to increse my virtual memory??? Will not connect to Internet just crashes on me ...... Any help appreciated | frossy13 (4462) | ||
| 427751 | 2006-02-06 11:30:00 | boot into safe mode, start>run>type in MSCONFIG,hit enter>startup tab, untick every single entry, >service tab, select hide MS services, untick every single entry now displayed>reboot. Report back if that gets you to your desktop, and you may also try reducing the amount of harddrive assigned to restore points. |
