| 427555 | 2006-02-06 00:50:00 | Does anyone know of any utilities that can report the power consumption of all peripherals in a PC? I've used MBM5 and aida32, but the best they can do is report the voltage readings at the +12V, +5V, etc. rails. Basically I am looking to upgrade my graphics card from a GeForce2 MX400 to a Leadtek GeForce 6600 GT (8xAGP), and want to know if my 300W Zalman PSU would provide enough power. I know these cards use an additional Molex connector. My system consists of the following: Zalman 300B-APS 300W PSU Soltek NV400-L64 motherboard Athlon 2600+ CPU (with GlacialTech HSF) Vantec Stealth 80mm case fan reduced to 7V via series resistor Seagate 60GB 7200rpm HDD Acer DVD-ROM Gigabyte DVD +/-R[W] DL DVD writer 3.5" floppy drive SB Live Value soundcard Compro VideoMate PVR TV tuner 56Kbps modem NVidia GeForce2 MX400 AGP graphics card (Forceware driver version 71.84) The PC runs fine most of the time, though occasionally it freezes on shutdown after playing a few games (e.g. Unreal II) or using the PVR software (Could just be Windows ME doing what it does best). Temps seem okay - Aida32 reports: CPU Die: 49°C Case: 32°C Thanks. -D. McG |

Current measurements for each slot would be very expensive. So some motherboards have voltage measurements available. I doubt if any have current measurements available. | Graham L (2) | ||
