427744 2006-02-06 20:35:00 If you've made a bootable floppy disk then all you have to do is set your PC to boot from the floppy drive. Memtest will run automatically.

Keep an eye on the test and wait for it to get back to test 1 after it has started. I think there are 14 rr 15 test runs. Once it comes back to 1 after the 1st iteration you can stop.

I suggest you run the test on each RAM module seperately.

As for your temp sensor... you may have to download a program called RivaTuner to give you a temp reading. You can get it HERE (www.guru3d.com). If that doesn't work then your card may not have a temp sensor but I'm pretty sure it does though.

427745 2006-02-06 21:01:00 ok, ill run it later. But what exactly is it that im looking for in the test results. Coz i got to test 4 and partof the screen went red, but i had to stop as im in the middle of something and it looks asif itll take ages. fent (9751)
427746 2006-02-07 06:25:00 It will tell you how many errors were found and what the memory addresses are for the errors... that way you will be able to tell which RAM module is faulty.

427747 2006-02-07 06:54:00 Presuming the Nvidia drivers come with much the same garbage no matter the version.
To find what temp the cards running at you'd do this.Right click the Desktop select Properties,Left on Settings,Left on Advanced,Left on GeForce 6600 or whatever the card is.A white box will hopefully open on your left..Left click on Temperature..There is you current GPU temp. Also have to say that when you run Memtest you don't run it when your doing other thing's.It gets run all on it's lonesome not when your frigging around with other programs on the pc.
