428951 2006-02-10 04:28:00 Azureus is excellent but is made with Java so you will have to install Java 1.5 and it does use a bit of memory...

Grab it from here:

http://azureus.sourceforge.net/

(^ Links to the Java package are also avaliable there)

428952 2006-02-10 05:26:00 I also vote μtorrent. Small, simple, fast loading and uses far fewer resources than Azureus bob_doe_nz (92)
428953 2006-02-10 05:43:00 I've been using ABC, its quite simple. Since it does everything I need I havn't bothered changing. DangerousDave (697)
428954 2006-02-10 05:48:00 I Find bitload,uTorrent,Azureus all much the muchness although prefer uTorrent for its size or Azureus if you want some coolish pie graphics to watch while you download, all able to achieve 200KBPS+ with a good tracker.

If you use a crappy mainstream web site for torrents (won't name due to rules) then you will be lucky to get 30KBPS. Most people with slow torrent problems are simply using crap torrents and then blame it on there client or ISP etc.

428955 2006-02-10 07:57:00 Yes, certain ISP's do actively "massage" the bandwidth of programs using common P2P ports.

But this is easily worked around. :D
