| 428626 | 2006-02-18 22:43:00 | I'm now back in the corner with a very very red face and a feeling of deep shame . This thing occupied me for many hours over two weeks, and in the end, when I reconnected my own computer to the external peripherals, lo and behold its AD1888 card wouldn't go . Then the penny dropped . The computer equivalent of "Did you put petrol in the car ?" OOOps - trace the speaker leads and Found both L & R leads had been graunched and broken . When in doubt the simplest answer is best and we can all get baffled by our own concentration on technicalites . Sorry guys for wasting your time, but it was an interesting technical exercise as well as a great learning experience and I am very grateful for your time . Cheers Ian |
