428638 2006-02-09 08:04:00 At my work, the filters aren't working as well any more as they once did.
The old spammers are just getting more cunning. Some of them are very close to normal emails I get, with normal subject lines.

They did have that problem over Xmas as well where they went down for several days due to the huge amounts going through.
It is a World wide problem and will probably only get worse before maybe getting better.
I use Mailwasher as well which helps and you can blacklist and bounce mail from spammers.

428640 2006-02-10 00:57:00 As several posters have mentioned Mailwasher by now, would a kind one please explain simply for the slightly technically-challenged like me what it can add to our anti-spam armour without needing loads of configuring. Laura (43)
428641 2006-02-10 01:09:00 I see no point in bouncing emails, if the program blacklists.

Just blacklist it once and for all (the isp), if whatever program can blacklist a whole domain/isp. End of story. You wont get emails from that domain again.

428642 2006-02-10 02:05:00 Sounds about right for Xtra. I haven't had a single piece of Spam from IHUG in past fifteen months.

Had a few from Gmail though.
