| 429934 | 2006-02-14 03:50:00 | Why is that a problem tweak'e? There is Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack1, and security updates for it available from MS. I'd have thought you would have it already? AVG Free also auto updates with 98SE.its just like win95, try finding new software that will run on it. software makers will drop support for 9x. while it dosn't matter to much with some software, for software that you NEED to be upto date (av etc) its a major problem. a lot of software at present is XP only. its even hard to run a stripped out 9x (no IE) because so much software 'needs' IE. the amount of games etc that 'need' IE is unreal. whats a game got to with a browser...nothing! sadly not all the fixes are in the unoffical service pack. hopefully the helpfull maker of it will include the rest. |
