429182 2006-02-11 22:44:00 Na, the Aussies never go full 'strength' with anything... if they had a bottle of XXX they'd go cross eyed and think they were capable of driving a Holden :D Shortcircuit (1666)

I am in San Jacinto, California . . . a short few miles from Palm Springs, Riverside, and the town of Pixley (yes, the "Green Acres" town!) and about 75 miles to LA .

We just had a snow blizzard here . . . well, about 500 feet higher elevation anyway . . but it is nice to see Winter making it's debut just in time for Spring!

GoogleEarth co-ordinates to my home:

33°46'39 . 95° N / 116°58'30 . 34°W, ALT 1529 feet above sea level .
turn on GoogleEarth, and c/p those co-ordinates into the search function . . . . . have fun .

Tried it but it said "your search had no results" or something to that effect.

429191 2006-03-13 01:18:00 Hey SurferJoe, I guess you would have no need for a lawn mower in 'them there dust and dirt' neighbourhood of yours?

Is that Cedar St you are on? If so, I see all your neighbouring streets are names after trees as well . . . . but there doesnt seems to be a hell of a lot of trees about . Do you get any birds (of the feathered variety) out there given the lack of trees to nest in?

I would be a bit concerned at the distance you have to travel to the beach though!
