430642 2006-02-15 12:01:00 HI I want to upgrade my graphics card

I see in this website techreport.com theres a bunch of graphics card with specification.

I want to compare MY ati 9800pro with say X700 but am unsure which row to compare.

Im pretty sure X700 is alot better than 9800pro.Maybe the difference is the speed of the graphics and probably the graphics are alot sharper.Im not sure.

Which row am I suppose to read to compare the two graphics card?Peak fill rate Mpixels/s?

But then when u read the last line peak memory bandwith GB/S i see that X700 has a less bandwith than 9800PRo.I thought that the higher the number is the better but thats not the case.

Can anyone please help me ?

430643 2006-02-15 12:04:00 real world results are all that matter, None of the cards perform like they do on paper, fill rate and the rest is meaningless.

The x700 is a far better card then your 9800se, but not a great card in comparison to the rest of the market.

430645 2006-02-15 12:15:00 Are you looking at the XT model?

The review im reading of the X700 XT puts it pretty much on the same performance level as the 6600GT.

X700pro

Not the best but decent enough for me to run games.
Tweaked my 9800Se to run like Pro at the moment

430648 2006-02-15 15:51:00 Just wondering

Is it possible to tweak X700 pro to run like X700XT?

Maybe 6800 to 6800 GT?

Overlock maybe?
