| 430275 | 2006-02-14 07:40:00 | Mobo MS6117 ver:1.1 LX.6 PII Ram unknown but think 128mb Symptoms: At power up the psu and box fans "kick" but do not rotate. No power is applied at any output pin. PSU: ATX 20 pin connector to mobo. When pin 14 is shorted the fans spin normally and all peripherals are powered. All voltages check out to specs. Any ideas on what to test next please or should the mobo be consigned to mobo heaven  |

| 430276 | 2006-02-14 08:47:00 | its not a clear thing. sometimes you will find a mobo that will do that if the cpu or ram is faulty. | tweak'e (69) | ||
| 430277 | 2006-02-14 09:27:00 | When pin 14 is shorted the fans spin normally and all peripherals are powered. All voltages check out to specs. Yes but does the PC boot properly when you do this. There may be a fault with the ATX connector on the mobo or even on the PSU. Have you tried other RAM, CPU etc and have you tried booting without any other hardware... no HDD's, modem and sound card etc. cheers chiefnz |

| 430278 | 2006-02-14 09:39:00 | Mobo, CPU, PSU .. any of these, take ya pick (mine is the mobo followed closely by cpu) Try swapping the PSU .. if that doesn't work, try swapping the cpu (if you can find one to swap with) |
