| 430175 | 2006-02-14 02:11:00 | Hi All. XP Home SP2. Xtra. The problem is Spam. We have protection but they keep coming. Spamfighter picks up 95% of them & shifts them to another file. So far so good. In Outlook Express it is possible to set "Message Rules". However the E-mail names & ISP addresses are rarely the same. That means I can not make a "Rule". 'Blocked sender ' list is about a mile long. Any ideas ? PJ |

| 430181 | 2006-02-14 03:11:00 | Get a copy of MailWasher (free version) PJ. Once it learns what you want and don't want, it is one click to destroy them all. You delete them direct from the server so you never download anything you don't want. If not sure, you can read the message on the server before downloading (saves unnecessary traffic). I screen a US site for about 75-100 messages a day and download no more than 5-6 per week. Good kiwi-written software! Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 430183 | 2006-02-14 04:47:00 | as others have said but if you are not sure how to do it.,........sort out your spam filter at xtra.........firstly go here: http://xtramail.xtra.co.nz/ then input yoru username and password.......if your xtra name is bob@xtra.co.nz jsut put in the 'bob' not the @xtra....... then your password an clik 'login' then you will be in the xtra mail box......look along the top for functions available and you'll see something called 'antispam filter' .......clik it then set the filter to delete all spam before you see it.........problem now solved... |
