| 430153 | 2006-02-14 00:21:00 | a friend of mine is having problems accessing a website because it says "You will not be able to use some of the features of deviantART.com because JavaScript has been turned off in your browser. " well i sent her to tools>internet options> and told her to find Microsoft VM but it wasnt there. i then told her to go to her security tab and custom level to see if Java had been disabled. that wasn't there either. can anyone help? | 430155 | 2006-02-14 00:43:00 | she has the Java console which only runs Java applets but nothing else works. | horsedreamer (9800) | ||
| 430156 | 2006-02-14 00:49:00 | If MS VM doesnt appear in IE, or JS2E Runtime Environment 5.0 update 6 doesnt appear in Add/remove programs, its not installed. Get her to download it from the previous link. |

| 430157 | 2006-02-14 01:01:00 | the JS2E RUntime Environment shows up in her add/remove programs but the Java VM doesnt show up in IE. it's so weird. | horsedreamer (9800) | ||
| 430158 | 2006-02-14 01:15:00 | It wont say Java VM under Advanced in IE. It should say Java (Sun) Use JRE 1.5.0_06 for <applet> (requires restart). Get her to tick this. See if things work. |
