| 1385936 | 2014-10-08 23:58:00 | I dont how new this is but is the first time it has happened to me: I just got a call from Spark Telecom saying they were going to have to take my internet connection down for 2 days because of hacking. Im embarrassed about the stereotyping, but the caller had a strong Indian accent which mad me suspicious, and when I questioned him and asked for a number to call to confirm, he hung up. The conversation didnt get as far as them asking for money or wanting access to my PC, but Im sure that was where it was heading. I called Spark and they confirmed it was nothing to do with them. |

| 1385939 | 2014-10-09 01:50:00 | Either hang up on them or tell them you aren't with a company called "Spark Telecom", or tell them you don't have a computer. Be interesting to find out what the next step in that call would have been though... I have been working from home recently (the save on the commute and cappuccinos is amazing!) and have had a number of land line calls during the day where when I answer there is nothing until about 15 seconds into the call, then an automated female voice that says "Goodbye". No idea what that's about! I'm very tempted to drop the landline completely - wrong numbers, donation soliciting calls, insulation sales calls, heat pump sales calls, solar energy sales calls and these types of calls would be a thing of the past... We hardly ever call out on the landline - too many free cellphone minutes. The only reason we still keep it is for family to call us, but that's getting less of an issue too. Maybe I should think about caller ID on the landline... |

| 1385942 | 2014-10-09 03:27:00 | One other I've been contacted with is some indian guy saying they are a web design company in Napier, and looking at my site and can improve it. Play along knowing is fake: :devil The twits waffles on a bit saying how it can be improved- then ask for the site address -- General reply is - errrrrrr you said you just looked so you should know. Last time they rang I said I used to live in Napier (which I didn't but been there plenty of times) and asked for the address and business name  Errrrrrr more side stepping by them, Then asked if you are calling from Napier, why is your Caller ID over Seas and not in NZ--- CLICK :clap |

| 1385944 | 2014-10-09 06:38:00 | I luuuuurve playing them at my g/f's place. Sadly never got to the end of their scam calls cos clearly the supervisor cuts the call when he figures out I'm onto the shizza. | Greg (193) | ||
