1398178 2015-04-07 03:06:00 Hi, got a new computer and went and downloaded the video and audio converter I have used in the past (Dream YouTube Downloader Free Addition) - I like this becuase it will rip high quality mp3's out of video etc... but ended up with serious malware and my browser hijacked>>> you may have seen my earlier post.

So... can someone please reccommend a good FREE video and audio converter and a SAFE PLACE TO DOWNLOAD so I can do as I have always done - convert vid to multiple formats and rip mp3 out of video.

Thanks PressF1... this site is the BOMB, cheers, Apo

1398183 2015-04-08 13:57:00 I'm using the skysoft media converter trial version and am pretty happy with it. It has some limitations (the trial version that it), but gets the job done like no other. JTunn (17347)
1398184 2015-04-08 15:49:00 I use fastesttube extension for my browser to download videos/audio through youtube (flv, mp4) or audio (m4a). The formats they come in isn't an issue as I could use mencoder to transcode them into whatever format I wanted but these formats suit me fine.

Cheers,

KK

1398185 2015-04-08 20:40:00 Used to use Freemake video converter. It did a good job. You just have to make sure when you install it, to untick the junk

Then decided to change / purchase Wonderfox DVD video converter, when it was cheap.

It's not free, but at least I get lifetime updates for it now
