| 1398173 | 2015-04-07 00:41:00 | Hi all, long time no posting. Just looking to get a cheap low profile graphics card to pop into a PC i've got from work. It's currently running Core 2 quad 9400, 4gb ddr3 ram (at 1066 lol), and it's got an integrated Intel GMA 4500. It's also got one of those weird 240 watt power supplies that are specific to the little HP PC's (it's like, the previous generation of this thing www.pbtech.co.nz) I was thinking about something like a 5450 or similar, since I'd like to run basic things like Eve online (min graphics) and emulated games. It's got 1 PCI-E 16x slot, but it's only PCI E 1.1 so I wasn't going to go more than like, 60 bucks on a cheapie card. So what do you guys reckon, which of these should I get to tinker? www.pbtech.co.nz Cheers team. |

| 1398176 | 2015-04-07 04:02:00 | Radeon R7 240 or Geforce GT 730 will set you back less than $130 and provide good performance in a low profile package. make sure you confirm the inclusion of the low profile bracket when ordering. hd5450 is a very dated card, it might serve you well however. r7240 pricespy.co.nz gt730 pricespy.co.nz i have a r7240 paired with a 3rd gen iCeleron, its pretty good. (at 1366x768 ive yet to find a game that wont run at maximum settings)ZZZ |
