| 1385633 | 2014-10-04 02:36:00 | Had this opportunity to drop by for a few minutes, even though everyone in Upsidedown Land is prolly sleeping or clinging with their prehensile tails to something affixed to the earth so's they aren't flung off into space . I'm well, sortta, but nothing has killed me yet . The weather's getting cooler (and youse guys are getting warmer, natch) and we have no snow yet . It's cooler, but not quite to freezing, 32F or whatever that may be equal to in Sillimeters . We've got some cows in the fields for the winter, all are preggo, and even though they aren't ours, they come when called . I'm still driving my Isuzu Amigo, the Chevy K5 Blazer and the woman's Astro van . Still building a few bass guitars and I'll hold off for a few months until I get some warm weather again . Hope all of youse are fit, seeing the the bladed side of the lawn and even though there MIGHT be an exception to that happy wish, I'll not go there at this time . Be good to each other ----and BTW: Metla still owes me a few beers . |

It prompted me to spend an hour so last night looking at the Rockies on Google Earth and trying to imagine what it's like living on a 3600' plateau in the middle of a mountain range. The strange thing is, you wouldn't know you were in the middle of the Rockies judging by the pictures in Streetview. It's only when you get a few miles out to your place that 9000' peaks appear in the distance - all around and capped with snow The Streetview pictures were taken in May - after the thaw I suppose. I like the creek just west of you. It's just like what we had on the farm when I was a kid. There's plenty of water across the road too. I suppose things would be entirely different if the pictures were took now |
