1482572 2021-11-29 04:00:00 Plenty of Petrol cars catch fire . Even one of mine :)

The big difference is the way they burn, and continue to burn , re-igniting several times after being extinguished

1482573 2021-11-29 09:06:00 Yep, NMC or NCA lithium batteries burn fast and furious, and go off like fireworks - that's why buyers should park their egos and buy the lowly SR variants (which are perfectly suitable), which have the far more stable LFP battery chemistry... which doesn't turn your car into a crematorium.

Imagine if that was an accident bad enough to leave the occupants incapacitated / traped / unconscious.

NMC - Nickel Manganese Cobalt
NCA - Nickel Cobalt Aluminium
LFP - Lithium Iron Phosphate - the least energetic, the least energy dense, the heaviest, the least costly, the most PC ingredients - the only one I'd choose for peace of mind.

cant read that , its blocked unless you sign in or pay .
:)

Most things arnt as clean & green as the claims.
And its all made by factories running from Coal fired Electricity Generation

I suspect many people are buying Tesla's because they are a cool car , not to save the Planet .
