2021-07-07 23:27:00 | Make sure you're plugged into an AC power source. This is doubly important if you aren't running a laptop or tablet. That made me wonder, how many people are running PCs without an AC power source?

2021-07-07 23:28:00 | Best advise is often .......JUST STOP FIDDLING :) The guy who wrote it, doesnt know what he's talking about Resets your Windows page file and defragments your hard drive (automatically disabled if you're running an SSD). Win10 DOES defrag your SSD. And there is a GOOD REASON to do that , occasionally . Random guys dont know better than the team that Designed & Wrote Windows10 Honestly , if you have to rely on a some guys script , you shouldnt be using it . Who knows what its actually doing Good points "Tron is not a system optimizer." "Tron will not clean or repair your system registry" bad points "Stage 1: Tempclean Cleans out a buttload of cache files to free up space on your system." - unless running XP , you dont need to do that. Stop fiddling Stage 4: Repair Checks and attempts to repair permissions issues, your operating system, and the basic structure of your hard drive. Just why. Dont do that without a damn good reason If your PC needs this , do a Win10 reset instead stop fiddling. :)

2021-07-08 00:23:00 | Interesting read But as 1101 posted Best advise is often .......JUST STOP FIDDLING The Article says a LOT of what it wont do ;) Running Tron to "clean up" a fresh Windows installation and/or as regular maintenance tool on a machine that is running within a reasonable definition of "normally" is not what Tron was intended for and is a tremendous waste of time and energy. How long will Tron take to do a complete run? Typical run-time is 3-7 hours sometimes quicker, sometimes longer Errrr no thanks - not many people are going to wait that long. If a PC is that bad it needs more than a fe wprograms run. ;)

That made me wonder, how many people are running PCs without an AC power source? My granddaughter. Runs her laptop right down before she reluctantly plugs in the power again. |

2021-07-08 23:01:00 | I mainly use a desktop. My laptop is in the same room and very rarely is moved away. I never have the battery attached and just use AC to power it. | Bryan (147) | |
