It relies on antivaxers not trying to con the system . I suspect where its most needed to be used , it just wont be at all practical : eg rugby games , concerts where 20,000-50,000 people are queing to get in. The chances of , at the entrance , quickly & properly checking 20,000 covid passports = zero . If the system goes down/crashes, do they refuse entry to everyone qued up to get into the Rugby test match . www.nzherald.co.nz "You get what you plan for." They both have now said they do not have to scan it. They can just sight it. With a venue at a stadium maybe view their QR Code and then look at their Photo ID maybe .... |

Unvaxed can easily fake one if they know it wont be scanned , or make a fake one with a barcode that wont scan . If its all relying on an honesty system from all involved , incl those checking them at the door , why even have it ? especially if we have a 90% vax rate . the 10% unvaxed will try & scam the system regardless . I have my covid pass/record, but its looking a bit pointless . They wont be banning unvaxed from supermarkets, doctors ,beaches,buses(?), hospitals & dairies . If unvaxed can go to supermarkets , why not a rugby match ? |

| 1482254 | 2021-11-24 21:25:00 | The whole thing goes both ways too, or should. Are we as customers allowed to request sighting and scanning of the staff's vaccine passports to prove they aren't going to give *us* Covid? I bet that concept is not even mentioned anywhere in the rules. |
