1482230 2021-11-16 18:29:00 Do you get the feeling the website was rushed through , not fully tested ?

. Just looked and the sites been updated a Little. Heard on the Car Radio that the new Certificate is available from today.

Sweet, went and had a look and what do you get ??? A blank page with Writing top left "Too Many Requests" Hmmmmmmmm

I'm not a web designer, but you would think the system would be designed to take the load ? Maybe its home grown NZ version of a DOS attack :p

Looks a bit like when Xtra tried the streaming of the world cup a few years back :groan:

1482231 2021-11-16 19:03:00 Was it built by the same offshore clowns who did 'Mintshot' a few years back?

Anyone remember that? It had abysmal PHP/SQL coding with barely any validation of anything, even a three year old could exploit and win the games by cheating.

There was an item on National Radio about this this morning, and among other things they were asking that people give it a day or two or more if they can, don't overload the website today please.

1482233 2021-11-16 22:38:00 I have now got it sorted and downloaded the Vaccine Pass and printed it. Have also saved it to my phone and all I have to do is show it at the door of any place which requires it to be scanned.
I'm sure if I can do it, anyone can.....was a bit tricky at first though.

1482234 2021-11-16 22:47:00 I have too but it's an attachment to an email. Not sure how to save it to my phone so it looks half-decent.

I thought it would be like an app...?

I thought it would be like an app...? You would think there would be an App ? Its only valid for 6 months anyway, so maybe in time they will refine it.

If it looks like the picture on their site, maybe you can simply take a good clear picture of it. Not everyone gets email on the phone. :)

Within that email is a link to add to Apple Wallet or Google Pay - this is what I did. On Google Pay at least, it also lets you pin to the home screen so all you need to do is tap the icon, enter your phone PIN and you get the pass :)

1482237 2021-11-17 02:23:00 Just did that - didn't want to use Google Pay but bit the bullet, went thru the process and woohoo!

If I ever went anywhere I can now get in.

1482238 2021-11-17 04:30:00 Well this is going very well NOT :groan::groan: Launch a site to get the Certificate and it cant handle the traffic. As mentioned earlier - a unintentional type of DOS attack :D

What did they honestly expect, only a few people want to log on and do what they are asked to do.
