2021-10-29 03:04:00 | Coming home from Hasting it looked pretty bad in the hills, and, sure enough, the heavens opened about 20 minutes ago. Absolutely peeing down. Thunder lightning heavy rain and hail. Reminds me of the big rain and flood here coulpe of years ago. Hope everyone is OK. Ken

2021-10-29 07:45:00 | Ooh, hey yeah, had the same in Taupo this afternoon! Absolutely horrendous thunderstorm! Cat was terrified! Had to give him a nice cuddle.....! | lakewoodlady (103) | |
2021-10-29 07:56:00 | You had to cuddle your cat, me, cuddle SWMBO :) She has always hated thunder and lightning. 5 years since my "avatar" Molly died. She hated it as well. Bit of a job trying to console a wife and a Corgi at the same time. Made me feel wanted. :) Ken

2021-10-29 18:49:00 | LOL. It is rare here I've found. My brother frequently says oh it's pouring out...and there's some light spitty drizzle. Too long away from Auckland to remember what real rain is. Yep it did bucket down, there was even small hail and some exciting lightening. But it was also all over in maybe 30 mins or so. Just as well, the last thing my garden needs is more water...it's always soggy down below...the surface can look dry but go down an inch and it's so damn wet I have problems with the plants. Liquefaction zone? PLus all the concrete I guess.

2021-10-29 22:50:00 | Hi kenj -nothing to do with your topic. I just wanted to state I am delighted that Hawkes Bay retained he Ranfurly Shield. A classic case of a Team with spirit being better than a side with 15 "star" individuals. Captain (until last gane0 Ash Dixon has been a great example to all. I hope the team's success is a morale booster for the region. I am a JAFA and am very frustrated that so many businesses think they have to be Auckland based - despite modern internet. | Neil F (14248) | |
2021-10-30 00:31:00 | Yes, we are really worthy of holding the Shield. Seems to be a Hawke's Bay thing. Ash Dixon has left us for a season or more in Japan. He will be missed but a young bloke (Parsons) is carrying on the tradition and we hope we will carry on the great work. Ken :)
