1478819 2021-07-24 03:55:00 This seems like such a n00b question, but I'm stuck!
I have a new PC under construction, with the mobo in the title.
It has a d-sub connector, I presume for onboard video, but it will only boot if I install a video card.
I can't find anything on the BIOS setup to select on-board video.
So am I stuck with a video card, or am I missing something obvious?

that cpu does not have integrated graphics, so you will need an video card.

1478823 2021-07-24 04:43:00 To add to the above only ryzen APUs have built in graphics and the connectors are on the motherboard to support those. They tend to have a G for graphics on the end of the name such as 3200G, 3400g dugimodo (138)
1478824 2021-07-24 22:25:00 I had to do something Similar a few weeks back, was building a gaming machine, using Intel CPU's, Customer wanted i7 CPU, not many available, Had a choice of i7-11700F or i7-11700.

The i7-11700F Was cheaper because the F means no integrated Graphics, and since Graphic cards were being used it was the better option.
