431794 2006-02-17 21:34:00 Have spent a couple of hours and cannot recall how you can edit a post you have made. I have done it before and seem to recall that there was an edit button under your post but cannot see any. I have looked through all the options and thought it might be my settings but no joy ! How embarassing to ask this fundamental question !!

431795 2006-02-17 21:37:00 You can only edit for 15 minutes, after that the edit function is disabled and I guess the button disappears at some stage after that.

Cheers

431796 2006-02-17 21:40:00 As BT says editing time is 15 mins

But you can ask a moderator to edit your post if you request it ( as long as the reason is good i spose, like wrong link or personal info removed or something)

never hurts to ask.

And we all have duh moments misty, i seem to have a lot more than usual at the moment too........

Have a great weekend misty.

431797 2006-02-17 23:22:00 Many thanks Billy T and Beetle. Now understood.
Maybe I can get this thread deleted so save further embarassment (there again it may help others who may have been too embarassed to ask ;)

cheers
Misty :)

431798 2006-02-17 23:30:00 Cheer up, Misty. Even if you had managed to reach the edit button in time, it's quite likely that Google would have found and immortalised whatever it is that you wanted to delete, expunge and remove from public notice. :D Graham L (2)

Wouldn't Google replace the content of the original message with the edited ones after its spider has tracked changes in it?

Cheers :)
