431761 2006-02-17 21:00:00 Last night I was listening to music and playing with my optimizer trying to change the bass and treble and things (It was on a program where there is a picture of how many speakers you have on your computer and you can click on say the right speaker and it will play an excerpt from that speaker.)

After I closed the program I realised I must have changed an option that I didn’t understand and accidentally I made my speakers have a dreadful echo. So now I cannot listen to music on my computer without getting a horrid echo noise that makes everything sound like noise.

The icon I clicked on to get the optimiser was blue with a yellow dot in the centre and sound waves coming out of it.

Please help me I’m completely lost for ideas and my ‘help and support’ program is doing nether.

I will be eternally greatfull

Looks like you have switched on a sound effect like 'Concert hall' Have a look around in
options and see if you can see anything labelled sound effects or similar.

431763 2006-02-18 01:16:00 It might be the Creative "EAX" feature. That won't be a concert hall effect ... more likely to be the "inside of a steel tank" :D Graham L (2)
