2006-02-17 03:09:00 | Does anyone have any knowledge, experience or thoughts about this new and soon to be released Windows product? | symiggy (7597) | |
2006-02-17 04:10:00 | Yes, I have plenty of thoughts on Microsofts OneCare product. 98% of them are not repeatable :xmouth: | Jen (38) | |
2006-02-17 04:20:00 | microsoft, sicurity...those words never go together to well :D i have no doubt it will typical MS.... look affter MS interests first, your sicurity second. concidering MS are the CAUSE of some of the sicurtiy problems i wouldn't touch it with a 20ft barge pole.

2006-02-17 04:26:00 | Jen pleeeease, pleeeease :D :D <--- cheesy, a moritorium on banning in this one instance, in the name of propriety, can I :D I look forward to your reply at your earliest convenience (i.e. I'm raring to go). In the meantime, A special feature of MS W..W.w.w.w. Onecare, and one that many will be grateful for, is that it identifies some Symantic files as malicious  Those nice folks at MS are, in part, going to make you pay $$$$$ to use a tool to overcome their cockups  Bloody thoughtful of them, eh! Jen Pleeeeease.

2006-02-17 04:34:00 | Lol Murray. Fat chance, show some restraint lad. :p | Jen (38) | |
2006-02-17 04:43:00 | What is with you people? Microsoft know all about how to write secure code . The boss has told them to . Microsoft Press have even published a book on the subject, by a guy who was made responsible for security . However . . . I doubt if he had ever enough authority to get anyone to actually write secure code . Or to keep it in, when it turns out to be slowing things down a bit . :D

2006-02-17 05:10:00 | I tried this ages ago, thought it was rubbish, and had a hell of a time removing it, the folder is still undeleteable... | Haze (3028) | |
2006-02-17 05:15:00 | Lol Murray . Fat chance, show some restraint lad . :p :( :annoyed: Ah rats! Restraint, rightyoh, let's see know, <grumble . . . groan> do HP do a 101 online course in that? While I'm sure that W W W . . . . . W w w w Onecare does and will do some things very well (well actually, I checked out their forst beta before the AV was added), I'm also just as positive that it will, in true Microsoft fashion, do some things appallingly badly and furhter, that when it is done badly, that the poor user will yet again, assume the position and bear the brunt of the appalling bits (gad, this ain't easy, how am I doing Jen?) . I'm also sure that W W W . . . . . W w w w Onecare . . . stop, wait, hang on a mo, I've got to get this off my chest: The freakin moron who thought up that name, appropriate as it is, should be stripped, stocked and have rotten food, and things, forcibly feed to them, it's the least they deserve . Right where were we, . . . Oh yes, W W W . . . . . W w w w Onecare will surely install some real goodies in the MS tradition that will be very useful for them and their, ahh, trusted partners* and affliliates and be a real wizz at ignoring the less than savoury aspects or their and their partners and affiliates less savoury marketing ploys . But hey, it will be a doddle to install, will look great and all the buttons and gizmos will be in the right place, it will be soooo easy with auot updates and auot reports and it will index this and that and . . . . . . <deep breath> It'll work with MSN and IE and OE and Outlook and Office and Exchange and ISS and thebetterjava thingy and, you'll be able to get rid of all those nasty, non-MS, partner and affiliate apps that don't work with it . I think I'll quit there, I'm so very proud, I've managed to avoid a diatribe :D No need to spoil a good thing, eh!
