431199 2006-02-16 20:20:00 Have just set up my new computer. I am using Netscape 4.79 and have imported my address book from my old machine (also 4.79). I would also like to import a large number of email messages for easy reference. However, I haven't found a way to do this. I can see how to do it from other programmes but not from Netscape to Netscape. Is there a folder that could be copied? If so, where do I find it? Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks!

431201 2006-02-16 22:13:00 Thanks for the reply. Doesn't help, I'm afraid but thanks anyway. To add, if I go to File > Import, I am given several options. The 3 options relating to messages (rather than address books) are: Outlook 97/98, Outlook Express and Eudora. As I said, I can't see any option for transfer from Netscape on one machine to Netscape on another. I would have presumed that there was a folder somewhere that could be copied. Am I being naive? I have of course checked "Help" and can't see anything there but maybe I am missing something.

Thanks.

431202 2006-02-16 23:02:00 Have you checked the Netscape website/help/forums? Tony (4941)
431203 2006-02-17 03:26:00 I believe I have solved the problem. If anyone else wants to copy mail from Netscape 4.79 on one machine to another, here's how:

Explore > Program Files > Netscape > Users > Mail > Inbox.sbd and copy the appropriate file or folder together with its 'file.snm' file. A doddle when you know how!
