430751 2006-02-16 03:30:00 Other than reformating because that deletes absolutely everything, what are some other methods of clearing up my PC? I've been playing some online games lately and it has been quite laggy.. Back in December and early January it was just fine. It starts fine whenever I first start up my comp, then about 10-30 minutes in, the lag comes.. Any suggestion son what to do? Anything will help.. Thanks in advance. ren3gade (9811)
430752 2006-02-16 03:36:00 Use ccleaner (http://www . ccleaner . com) to remove all the temp files / trash etc .

And defrag the hdd .

Its most probably the speed / broadband thats the prob, if playing online games lags most of the time (If you have broadband) .

This maybe normal .

Also, if your mobo is SIS-based these are known to lag, just getting / booting into windows, and running programs .

430759 2006-02-16 04:53:00 Boot into safe mode, run HJT again and tick these entries and tick fix checked.

This is spyware. See here (securityresponse.symantec.com)

Look for Zango search tool in Add/remove programs. Uninstall it.

Download Trojan Remover (dl.filekicker.com) from here (www.simplysup.com)

Install it, run it and click on scan. Then select the 3rd - 7th option under the utilities menu.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Power Scan] C:\Program Files\Power Scan\powerscan.exe - This is also spyware related to Istbar. See if the system goes any faster then. See if this (securityresponse.symantec.com) detects ISTbar. (use this tool first, and do a scan). Before u tick this entry.
