| 432329 | 2006-02-19 22:49:00 | Hi, my computer hang recently (never have this before) when I tried to copy a DVD movie by using DVD Shrink software. I had to press the reset button to get it going. when it restarted, my DVD/cd writter disappeared (I got DVD WRITER and a DVD/CD Writer). Sometimes I just restart the computer again, it will appear again. Why is it like that? anyone knows.... WinXp P4 3.2Ghz 1G DDR2 Ram |

| 432334 | 2006-02-20 04:04:00 | I am asuming this is your own private DVD movie that you are trying to copy? If not, then please read the PC World forum rules which can be found at the top of each forum. I've moved your thread to the correct forum as well. |

| 432335 | 2006-02-20 04:58:00 | Same here. I have a Pioneer DVR110D. I'm running Xp pro on an Athlon 64 CPU with a gig of ram. Occassionally, and under the same circumstances as you, i get the old blue screen of death. It tells me that some new hardware or software isn't installed properly. Always happens when reading a DVD, not writing. Really annoying. Doesn't appear to be the disc, as it doesn't happen on my other machine - a P4 2.4 with a DSE DVD writer. I have re-installed the hardware and updated Nero, but it still happens now and then so is the writer nobbled? | andy (473) | ||
