| 432274 | 2006-02-19 20:17:00 | I am trying to network a laptop to a desktop - both running XP . The laptop shows a network connection - and I can ping to laptop from the desktop - but I can't see any shared folders when I go into network connections (yes there are some shared folders on both machines) . If I double-click the network connection icon in the system tray . . . It says the amount of time it has been connected therefore it does seem that it is actually connected?? Please Help . Thanks . |

A firewall until its configured will stop a network . Create a folder and share it . DON'T share the whole hard drive on either . You'll be sorry, if someone decides to hack you . |
