432310 2006-02-19 23:31:00 Hi everyone.
Above tv tuner card (Xmas pressy) works OK but have found that if the remote settings are loaded (for use of remote control) there is a problem when my comp goes into standby mode - i.e. monitor will not come out of standby. HD seems to be working but the screen remains black. Everything seems to work OK if remote settings are "unloaded".
Just wondering whether anyone else has had this problem or can offer some advise - running XP home with SP2

432311 2006-02-19 23:41:00 The easy fix would be to not allow the computer to standby.

What type of graphics card and monitor?

Good on ya mate.

432313 2006-02-20 04:35:00 Hi Rob & Stu
The comp is a Pakard Bell package - 2.4G, 1Gb Ram, 60HD, 17"LCD etc. As I mentioned, it OK if you "unload" the remote function, but I can't find anywhere that I can stop it loading automatically ... just thought someone may have some idea or had the same problem.
It's usually when the kids forget to unload it .... annoying .... but not fatal !!

432315 2006-02-28 21:56:00 You know DSE and Packard Bell are not know for their high quality. I try to avoid both. kingdragonfly (309)

Turn everything off in the startup tab except your anti-virus.

432317 2006-03-01 09:57:00 I had a flyvideo tv card from dse a while ago. I took it back & got my money back. After spending forever trying different drivers/configurations, I gave up. If yours is the same make, you may be in the same boat. Phil B (648)
