| 433025 | 2006-02-22 22:37:00 | Hi, I am wanting to put a prompt into an excel spreadsheet which will a question about whether or not certain information has been checked before it will allow you to close the spreadsheet down. Is this possible - if so how do I go about settingit up? Thanks |

| 433026 | 2006-02-22 23:36:00 | The quick answer is that Excel is a spreadsheet, not a platform to build applications. It can quickly come to the point where it's easier / better to build a robust application with Visual Studio, or something similar. Having said that, Excel does support event driven scripting / macros / VBA. I'm a bit rusty, but I assume the newer versions of Office support DotNet. I think you can set the Cancel property of the Unload event to True based on the results of a MsgBox dialog. |
