| 432980 | 2006-02-22 21:21:00 | Hey guys. the new machine keeps freezing when I try to login, it just freezes, no warning or anything, not even error box and does not unfreeze, it takes 5 restarts before I can login, then it freezes anouther 5 odd times requiring restarting, then it will work without fault for an hour or two then it starts freezing again. I am not sure if this is a windows problem, but all of the hardware is new, but I am not ruling that out as a possibility. Any ideas, should I try reinstalling windows? run hardware tests?, there are no conflicts in device manager, specs are below :D Thanks :) |

| 432984 | 2006-02-23 03:48:00 | I am running Memtest 86 now, comes in the BIOS :D 40% complete and no errors so far, I also reinstalled the RAM. I will run more tests using the Ultamate Boot CD. kingdragonfly, can you please describe how to change them, like what to go into? SolMiester, the RAM has worked fine in it since the start, I doubt it will just decide not to work :confused: |

What has changed recently? added new hardware?He's added all the components of a computer to make a computer. :D Installing an OS is a pretty good test for memory. Could it be starting-up current of the disks causing the PSU to droop? |

Nope, no new hardware Graham, a friend said I wiould be fine with the 400W PSU that came with the case, but I got a 535W Enermax, it I doubt it, I can run 2x prime 95 and play fear demo when it works and that runs CPU and video card high this runs fine, the problem happens when login into windows |
