| 1357749 | 2006-02-21 00:23:00 | I have exported several .pst files from Outlook (one for Contacts, another for the Inbox, etc), for the purpose of making backups. Easy. But in the event of some disaster which would require me to actually use those backed-up files, I'm unclear about one thing. Here is a quote from the final step of the Office Online Outlook help topic, Restore items by importing a .pst file: "Follow the remaining instructions in the Import and Export Wizard. Microsoft Outlook copies the items from the .pst into the folder you specify." My question is, how do I know which folder to specify when doing this? |

When I have Outlook open I can see from the Folder List that Calendar, Contacts, Inbox, and several other files are all in a folder called Personal Folders. When restoring a backup, surely I would import any of those (including Inbox) back into Personal Folders? If I'm right, how do I navigate to that folder? A search of C drive finds no folders of that name. If I'm wrong, I really do NOT understand Outlook folders! |
