2006-02-23 02:06:00 | Try Trojan remover (www.simplysup.com) as well. It looks like it has Adware.SAHAgent in it. So may remove it. This symantec site (securityresponse.symantec.com) shows u what it installs, and how to remove it as well.

2006-03-14 22:55:00 | Will try the last suggestions, it's still happening and driving me mad. Thanks. | Jacquie (9851) | |
2006-03-15 00:06:00 | Tried all of above and nothing found. Any other suggestions? Maybe it is something else causing it to crash and the microsoft error reporting is wrong? The graphics sometimes go funny just before it crashes and it says the program was created by s3 graphics. Thanks for your help Jacquie

2006-04-09 17:26:00 | Hello Jacquie, The same thing has been happening with me. I think you're right to suspect the microsoft error report is wrong and I don't think it is spyware either. The problem started two days after windows xp was installed and at first the crash analysis pointed to sound or video card driver problems (I was stupid not to write it down) and suggested an update. Later the analysis began to read "Error caused by ShopAtHomeSelect". As I said, I've just had windows xp installed and I have also been messing with the cards and memory slots so I'm going to have that checked. I'll let you know if I find something, please do the same. Thanks.

2006-04-24 04:58:00 | Still no joy sorting it out. I had a guy out to look at it and he ran test which indicated my hardware was all working normally. We then completly wiped the computer and reinstalled windows but it is still doing it. Thinking of putting up with it for a couple more months and then buying a new computer. | Jacquie (9851) | |
2006-04-29 23:46:00 | As I suspected, my problem had no relation to shopathomeselect and I don´t think yours has either . My computer hasn't crashed since I took the steps below about 4 days ago (from . microsoft . com/kb/293078/en-us" target="_blank">support . microsoft . com) . RESOLUTION To resolve this issue, obtain and install the most current driver for your video adapter, or replace your video card . (I had the most current driver so I went to "workaround") WORKAROUND To work around this issue, follow these steps: 1 . Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display . 2 . On the Settings tab, click Advanced, and then click the Troubleshoot tab . 3 . Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to None, and then click to clear the Enable Write Combining check box . 4 . Click OK, and then click OK . Note This procedure prevents the display driver from programming the hardware incorrectly, but you may lose some display functionality and performance . Although you can increase the hardware acceleration settings higher than None to regain functionality and performance, these settings increase the chance that the issue will occur again . For maximum stability, leave hardware acceleration off . It is worth a try . If it doesn't work you can easily reverse the changes . Let me know how it goes . Good luck .

2006-05-03 01:59:00 | Hi Jacquie There should be an entry in the Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs entry for 'ShopAtHomeSelect Agent'. Use it to remove the software then restart the computer. You can also use Ad-Aware esales.element5.com to remove it.

2006-05-03 02:36:00 | My laptop keeps crashing, the microsoft error report says it was an: Error caused by ShopAtHomeSelect: no specific solution available Problem description An analyst at Microsoft has investigated this problem and determined that an unknown error occurred in ShopAtHomeSelect . This software was created by S3 Graphics Inc . . Microsoft has researched this problem with S3 Graphics Inc . , and they do not currently have a solution for the problem that you reported . Below is a recommendation to take that may help prevent the problem from recurring . Contact S3 Graphics Inc . for support or product updates . I emailed S3 Graphics but they never got back to me . Does anyone know what the problem is and if I can do anything about it . I could get a new graphics card if that is the problem? Thanks Jacquie S3 Graphics could be your graphics card driver if you are sure it isn't this shopathome thing . Try Counterspy to be sure of being spyware free . Its the best . Its not free but you are able to use the free trial for several days and it will remove any malware found . And just shows what a load of tripe the MS Error Reporting is . As if they really analyse them . . . .
