| 432938 | 2006-02-22 08:27:00 | ok so ive got this compaq with a 500mhz celeron in it and the mobo has an intergrated agp gpu, yet no agp slot. ive got a 2MB pci video card sitting here, and i was wondering if i can stick it in and use it + the onboard video to power 2 montiers using linux. i know if it was an agp card with an agp slot on the mobo that this wouldnt work due to the intergrated agp gpu being tied directly to the agp slot. but will it work with the pci slot? if so can someone help me configure my ubuntu 5.04 install so it spans across 2moniters instead of cloneing it like windows does when windows lacks the driver. thanks in advance. |
