| 433656 | 2006-02-25 06:46:00 | Hey guys I've just donloaded an .avi file off the internet and it doesn't seem to be working. At the end of the file is has XviD-LOL. When i try to play it it doesn't work and comes up with an error message. I've tried it with multiplayer players (WMP, DivX, VLC player) but none of them seem to work. I've also searched on google for codecs without success. Any success would be much appreciated |

| 433658 | 2006-02-27 21:00:00 | You need to get the Xvid codec to play this file. A Google search for "Xvid codec" should give you a few links to download one. The avi format is just a container file that can have a number of different video/audio codecs ie. divx, xvid, x264, indeo... You can also download codec packs which will allow you to play just about anything :) |
